Career Planning and Opportunities
The Rutgers-Camden Career Center provides comprehensive career services to RU-C students and is dedicated to educating and empowering undergraduates, graduates and alumni in the career planning process. Our Career Center counselors can help undocumented and DACA students with how to look for employment and have conversations about hiring, and assist with the special set of challenges that undocumented students may face.
- The Life After College Guide by Educators for fair Consideration has information to help undocumented students navigate life after graduation. It includes sample documents (e.g. resume, personal statement), strategies for finding internships, and an overview of different graduate school and work options.
- Consideration of DACA: Guidance for Employers is a fact sheet for employers on processing Form I-9 for deferred action recipients. The information may be useful for students as they engage with employers
- Career Resources for Undocumented Students at Rutgers University-Camden provides a wealth of resources to help undocumented students navigate the career planning process.
- Resources for Undocumented Students without Work Authorization (If you do not have work authorization, you are eligible to work as an independent contractor, using an Individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN).
